What happens to
what you send us.
Short version: we collect what you type into the quote form, we use it to quote your job, and we don't sell it or pass it around. Everything below is the detail.
This policy covers covenantearthworks.ca. It applies to personal information we collect through this website. It doesn't cover information you give us verbally on site, or records we must keep for contract or tax purposes. Those sit in the employment and contract records we hold directly.
What we collect
Only what you choose to type into the quote request form:
- Your name
- Company name, if provided
- Phone number
- Email address
- The type of work you select
- The project location you give
- Whatever you write in the project details box
If you email or call us instead, the same kinds of information end up with us and this policy applies to it just the same.
Why we collect it
To contact you about your project, to visit the site if the job warrants it, and to prepare a quote. That's it. We don't use your details for marketing, we don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that turn into work are kept for as long as the project and its records require. Enquiries that don't turn into anything are deleted within twelve months. If you'd like yours deleted sooner, ask and we'll do it.
Who else sees it
Form submissions are delivered through Netlify, which hosts this site and stores submissions on our behalf. Their handling of that data is covered by their own privacy terms.
This site also loads two typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers see the request, including your IP address. If you'd rather we didn't send anything to Google at all, tell us and we'll switch the site to self-hosted fonts.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. We don't fingerprint visitors and we don't build a profile of you across sites. If that changes, this page gets updated before it does.
Your rights under PIPA
This business is subject to Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act. That means you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that's wrong, and ask us to delete it. We generally respond within a reasonable time, and we won't charge you for it.
Security
Form submissions travel over an encrypted connection and are stored by our host. No system is perfectly secure, but we don't do anything careless with your details, and we won't discuss your project with anyone who isn't working on it.
